Price is a bad counterfeit indicator

Product offer price has little to no correlation to product authenticity. It seems logical, you see a new seller appear on your listing, they look suspicious and their price is 20% below every other seller. Must be a fake. Unfortunately, the evidence says otherwise. We analyzed almost 300 confirmed infringing test purchases and compared the purchase price with the brands MAP or Expected Retail Price. The result: bad guys aren't stupid and they aren't willing to giveaway margin to attract more sales.
